New Makeup: July '18

Every month I go to Sephora with the intentions of just sampling new makeup, shadow palettes and skincare I've had my eye on. By the end of my trip I've snagged a solid $150 worth of makeup and skincare and I've left with none of the products I intended to try. Below I'll cover this months favs, what drew me in and why I love 'em. Welcome to this month's edition of, I Spend Too Much Money at Sephora!

Lancôme Définicils High Definition Mascara ($27)

I feel like I've always struggled to find the perfect mascara for my little lashes, and now I'm so much closer to my goal! My lashes aren't short or long, they're just straight. So my troubles lie in finding a mascara that will curl and add volume without creating an absolute mess on my eyelids. I know I'm not the only person to experience this! Now, Lancôme. I was drawn in by the thin wand and short bristles--two necessary factors to create the perfectly elongated and most importantly, CLUMP FREE, lash look that I adore. This mascara gives me those perfectly natural, defined and long lashes that could bring any man to his knees. Seductive wink ;)

Too Faced Hangover 3 in 1 Primer and Setting Spray.png

Too Faced Hangover 3-in-1 Replenishing Primer & Setting Spray ($32)

Setting spray is one of my least favorite items to purchase. You just don't get the instant gratification or excitement that comes when buying a new lipstick or highlighter. That being said, this has already become my go-to setting spray for summer. Hangover 3-in-1 will give your fresh application that glorious lived-in look and will have you glowing for the gawds, honey!

Urban Decay HiFi Shine Ultra Cushion Lip Gloss - Dirty Talk.jpg

Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lip Gloss in 'Dirty Talk' ($20)

I've never been a fan of lipgloss. It's usually too thick, too sticky, and often clumps up. Let me tell you, I am absolutely in love with this Hi-Fi Shine gloss! The shade 'Dirty Talk' is the perfect gloss for melanin mami's who don't usually reach for glosses! The wear is so smooth, comfortable, hydrating and this shade looks natural while really making your lips POP. The applicator is a flat, flexible paddle and allows something I've never experienced from lip products before: one. swipe. application. On God, One side of the paddle on your top lip, the other side on your bottom and dassit! *Cue Lil Mama - Lip Gloss
